What are you willing to do differently that will improve on your mental health? . Setting mental health goals is imperative to managing your mental health.

Today , we will be 6 mental health goals you can set for yourself and start doing for the next six months till the end of the year.

– Practice Mindfulness : Set out 30 minutes daily in the morning or at night to meditate and practice deep breath exercises.

– Exercise : Exercising helps to relieve stress and improve your mood. You can set aside time daily to take a walk, jog or run daily.

– Journaling : Helps to enhance your sense of well-being , reduce symptoms of depression and improve your working memory. Journaling can be especially helpful for those with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or a history of trauma.

– Eat healthy : incorporate fruits and vegetables to your every day diet. Eating healthy helps to alleviate the symptoms of depression.

-Set boundaries : know your limit and how far you are willing to go. This will require being self aware, being in tune with yourself .

-Practice forgiveness  : Don’t hold on to grudges, practicing forgiveness makes you live free and light. Choose to forgive.
